последний случай компании о ONU Device Operation and Configuration Guide

1. Introduction

ONU (Optical Network Unit) is a critical customer-end device in fiber-optic broadband access systems, widely deployed in residential, office and enterprise network scenarios. It receives optical signals from the OLT (Optical Line Terminal) at the operator’s central office, converts optical signals into electrical signals, and delivers network access for end devices including computers, routers and TV set-top boxes. Every ONU undergoes full performance testing before shipment to guarantee stable operation, low latency and long-term service reliability.

2. Device Overview & Package Checklist

Inspect all accessories upon unboxing to ensure no parts are missing or damaged. The complete physical appearance and port layout of the device are shown in the figure below.

•        PON Port: Connects to the operator’s fiber line for upstream optical signal transmission

•        LAN Ports (1/2/3/4): Connects to routers, computers and other wired network terminals

•        Power Port: Connects to the dedicated original power adapter for stable power input

•        Indicator Lights: PON (optical link status), LOS (signal fault alarm), LAN (wired network status), POWER (power supply status)

3. Pre-Installation Preparation

•        Place the ONU on a flat, dry and well-ventilated surface, away from direct sunlight, high temperature and humid environments to avoid device damage

•        Prepare standard fiber jumpers, Ethernet cables and the original matching power adapter

•        Reserve and confirm network configuration parameters provided by the operator, including IP settings, LOID and registration password

•        Prepare a computer or mobile device for web-based configuration and debugging
